Privacy Policy

Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

GameLense is designed for use by coaches, parents, and organizational administrators — not by children. Children under 13 never interact with GameLense directly and do not create accounts or input data. All player information is entered and managed by authorized adults (coaches or parents).

Information Collected About Minors

In the course of managing a team, coaches and parents may enter the following information about minor players:

• Player name
• Jersey number
• Performance and game statistics (batting, pitching, fielding)
• Player photos (where uploaded by an authorized adult) — stored privately and accessible only to the player's team and linked family members through time-limited links
• Coach observational notes, including game observations, development notes, and performance assessments entered by authorized coaches

This data is used solely to provide baseball analytics, lineup suggestions, and performance tracking to the coaches and parents who entered it.

No Behavioral Advertising

We do not use any child's personal information for behavioral advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than providing the core analytics service to authorized adults.

Coach & Organizational Operator Role

Coaches and organization administrators act as "operators" under COPPA. By creating a team and entering player data, they represent that they have obtained any necessary parental consent for the collection of player information used within the platform.

Parental Rights

Parents and legal guardians have the right to:

• Access and review any personal information collected about their child
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of their child's personal information
• Refuse further collection or use of their child's information

Coming soon: In-app access and export tools are coming to the Guardian portal so parents can review and download their child's data directly.

California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):

To submit a CCPA/CPRA request, email privacy@gamelense.app with the subject line "California Privacy Request." We will verify your identity and respond within 45 days as required by law.

Data Sharing & Visibility

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate GameLense. Each processes data only as needed to provide the service and in accordance with their own privacy policies:

• Supabase — Authentication and database hosting. Stores account data and player statistics.
• Stripe — Payment processing. Handles all billing and payment card information.
• Vercel — Application hosting and anonymous usage analytics.
• Anthropic (Claude) — AI service provider. Player names and statistics are transmitted to Anthropic's API solely to generate GameLense's reports and insights on our instructions. Anthropic does not use this data for its own purposes or for advertising.
• Google (Gemini) — AI service provider. Drill and practice content is processed by Google's Gemini API solely to enrich GameLense's practice planning features on our instructions. Google does not use this data for its own purposes or for advertising.
• Resend — Transactional email delivery. Used to send account and notification emails on our behalf.
• Railway — Server hosting and infrastructure. Processes server-side application logs in the course of running GameLense's API.

None of these service providers sell your data or use it for their own marketing. They act as processors on our behalf only.

Data Retention

Your data remains active for as long as your account exists. If you request account deletion, all associated personal information and player data will be permanently deleted within 30 days of the request. To request account deletion, email privacy@gamelense.app.

Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information. All data is encrypted in transit using TLS (HTTPS). Data at rest is encrypted via Supabase's built-in encryption. Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel only.

Cookies

GameLense uses minimal cookies. We use an authentication session cookie required for you to stay logged in, and Vercel Analytics may set a cookie for anonymous page-view measurement. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party marketing cookies.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify users via email or a prominent notice within the application. Your continued use of GameLense after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
